Lee Vermeulen, Jr, MS, RPh, is the Director of the Center for Drug Policy in the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin (UW) Hospital and Clinics. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy. He received a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a master’s degree in hospital pharmacy from UW-Madison. He completed residency training in pharmacy practice and pharmacy administration at the UW Hospital and Clinics, and completed a fellowship in medical technology assessment at the University Hospital Consortium.
 
Prof Vermeulen is active in several professional organizations, including the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists, and the International Pharmacy Federation. He has published many articles, abstracts, and letters, as well as several textbook chapters. Prof Vermeulen received the Pharmacist of the Year Award from the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin and the Teaching Excellence Award form the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy.
