Authors examine the pharmacologic characteristics of the traditional anticoagulants, and discuss the potential role of newer agents for VTE treatment and prevention while explaining the differences between UFH, LMWHs, and bioequivalent agents. | Back to top  | | | EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES | After reading this publication and taking the test, participants should be able to:
