Reducing Door-to-Treatment Times and Meeting New Performance Measures in Acute Coronary Syndromes

  Printer-friendly version

In this Expert Commentary, Paul Ruest, PhD from thrombosisclinic.com interviews Dr Marc Cohen regarding various strategies for reducing the interval between arrival at the hospital and intracoronary balloon inflation during primary percutaneous coronary intervention to 90 minutes or less, as well as reducing the interval between arrival at the hospital and administration of thrombolytic agents to 30 minutes or less. Dr Cohen also addresses barriers associated with these goals and discusses new performance measures in acute coronary syndromes.
